This Is Me

Yep. This is me; insanity at it’s finest and I’m lovin’ it like McDonald’s loves their profits.

There’s ups and downs, lefts, rights, diagonals, horizontals . . . zig-zag’s, whatever. I embrace what makes me who I am and if that’s called insanity then so be it. A college student and peer support worker at Second Story Peer Respite, studying psychiatry or psychology, or humanity, or all three, I’m ready to unleash a fresh hell into the industry, maybe shock a few fat cats out their executive seats, spill the truths of the DSM, and hopefully connect with people along my rampage. Labels are labels, symptoms are symptoms; life is life, the sky is the sky, words are words, people are people, ice cream is ice cream, there’s no need to go into deeper analysis of obvious things. I am a lover of my passion and a critic of my own industry. And this blog is the product of everything. Enjoy.

From the post I just read and your about page it seems all of this language and labeling around what is seen as “abnormal” is a conundrum and we’s almost be better off without it! Too many variations— some of which are assets in certain cases. That is what I’m getting out of this . . .

Cheers to challengeing the establishment. I’d love to see a few fat cats ousted from their executive chairs. I’m very interested in your thoughts on DSM. Spill those truths! Do you have any prior posts on the matter that you can direct me to?
